HICKORY Angelia Jo Phillips went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016. She was born Dec. 22, 1966 and preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred and Pauline Hatcher; and her father, Joe Phillips. She is survived by her two sons, Phillip Roberson and Dravin Phillips; mother, Louise Phillips; brother, Junior Phillips; and other family members. A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, Jan. 17, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Brookford Community Center, 1700 S. Center St., Hickory, NC 28602

Woke up to the sad news this morning of the passing of fellow hairband rocker and friend Angie Phillips this morning. I've known her since we were kids. Angie was full of life and had a huge heart. She also did not hesitate to say what was on her mind. I loved her for that. You and your sassy attitude will be missed dear friend.

I remember Angie being wide open, she never let anyone or anything slow her down. She was never afraid to say what was on her mind and if you didn't like what she had to say........oh well!!!!!! She was a very cool chick and will be greatly missed. Rock on chick!!!!!!
