Edward Todd Earp, 55, of Valdese, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

 

Born July 11, 1967 in Caldwell County, he was the son of Geneva Earp of Hickory and Larry Earp of Valdese.

 

Todd loved everybody and was very fond of animals. He had a wonderful personality. He loved to laugh and have fun which drew people to him. Todd liked classic cars, music (especially classic rock) and gardening. He and his mother recently halved his first homegrown tomato! He will be deeply and dearly missed.

 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters: Hailey Rostan and husband (Andrew) of Conover, Katie Green and husband (Clint) of Bostic, NC; grandson, Caden Green of Bostic, NC; brother, Tim Woods and wife (Sherry) of Lenoir; nephews: Trevor Woods of Lenoir, Zachary Woods of Newland; and niece, Bailey Brown and husband James of Lenoir.

 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the chapel at Bass-Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Scott officiating.

 

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:30 – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Catawba County Humane Society, P.O. Box 63, Hickory, NC 28603.
