Mr. Timothy Wayne Young, 48, of Hickory, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at his residence.
Tim was born on January 25, 1967 in Catawba County to Janie Inez Ross Young and the late Glenn Allen Young. He attended Bible Baptist Church and was employed as an auto body mechanic.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Allen Young.
Surviving in addition to his mother, is a daughter, Zyla Grace Young of the home, two brothers, Charles Young and wife Lori of Connelly Springs, Stephen Young and wife Cynthia of Hickory and one sister, Janie Young Bowman and husband Vance of Greenville, SC. Also surviving are two nieces, Karen Bynum and Bethany Craig, two nephews, Blake Young and Vance Bowman, Jr. and several great nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Heritage Funeral Service, with Rev. Greg Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Henry River Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M , at Heritage Funeral Service in Valdese.
