John Doe

Todd and I grew up together. I knew him since the first grade. There are countless vivid memories I have of our time here on earth together. One I will never forget is the time when we were in elementary school and we were coming home from a field trip to Old Salem. On the way home, the bus broke down. Fortunately for us it happened right at the rest area on I-40.

Some of us were running around and playing as we waited for someone to come repair the bus. Todd and a few others were trying to walk across a guard rail and Todd slipped and cut his left forearm pretty bad. Fortunately for us, we had Herb Jacumin's mom on the trip who happened to be a nurse. I will never forget how she held Todd in her arms and comforted him that day as she bandaged up his wound. She took great care of him until the medics arrived.

After high school I lost touch with Todd, until seeing him one day at Valdese Hospital. I stopped in his room to visit and that is when I learned he had cancer. Todd put up a big fight. Sadly, Cancer took him away from us far too soon. I take comfort in knowing that he no longer has to suffer and that one day I will get to run and play with my friend again in Heaven.

Todd! You are gone, but never forgotten my dear friend!!!

He was always a fun guy and you knew when he was coming in his Baja Beetle.  I worked with Todd at Mom & Pops in Drexel.  We used to have lots of fun working there during work and even afterwards.  I was really shocked to see on this site that Todd had passed on.
